Flight Instructor: 9/11 Destroyed My Business, but I'm Still Kicking
With all the stories and special events, the upcoming 10th anniverarsy is reminding a lot of us of the September 11 attacks . But Rudi Dekkers needed no reminding.
He's the former owner of the Venice flight school that trained two 9/11 attackers how to fly.
He lost his business and feels lucky to have a job working for a pool screening company in Cape Coral. He's written a new book about his experiences called "Guilty By Association."
"I don't have any closure from Bin Laden. I was on top of the world, and now I'm at the bottom. 9-11...I still live this every day," he said.
Dekkers says he used to receive death threats, but the more he speaks with the media, the more people seem to understand that he wasn't at fault.
