TAMPA (2011-9-27) -
The Florida Orchestra's woodwind quintet is about to make some history. They're flying to Havana Thursday, becoming the first American orchestra to play in Cuba since 1999. It's part of a cultural detente that should see the full orchestra playing on the island nation next year.
WUSF's Steve Newborn talks with Angela Cassette, the orchestra's operations director. She's heading south with the quintet and says the trip will be more than just another cultural exchange.
