Alternate Routes to TB Lightning Games
As the Tampa Bay Lightning gear up to start their regular season, they've already been thinking about how to get the fans to the games, since one of the major traffic routes is shut down.
If you are heading to the St. Pete Times Forum for a Lightning game or anything else, you're going to have to find a way without the Platt Street Bridge but the Lightning have already been working on it.
The Forum hired its own traffic engineer and teaming up with the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County, they have come up with easy ways to get around the Platt Street construction. Tampa Bay Lightning spokesman, Bill Wickett says he is not worried about it.
"We don't think it will affect the number of people who buy tickets to our games or the amount of guests that want to come to our events," he said.
"People understand what's going on, I mean construction generally is a sign of progress and development and our fans know that," Wickett said.
Wickett says the traffic alternates are on the Tampa Bay Lightning website. Click here.
