Florida Matters: Manatees

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is reviewing the endangered status of manatees. The Pacific Legal Foundation has filed a lawsuit against the agency for failing to act on a 2012 petition to move the manatee from endangered to threatened.

We have gathered a panel of experts to talk about this request, and we also visited the Florida Manatee and Aquatic Center habitat at the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, where more than 300 sick and injured manatees have gotten care.
