On the Radio
Maura Barrios and Yadira Caro
Maura Barrios tells Centro Mi Diario reporter Yadira Caro about her life growing up as a member of a working class Cuban-American family in West Tampa in the late-1960s. She talks about being fascinated by the counter-culture of the times, overcoming that attraction to establish her own identity as a college student and learning to celebrate and embrace her own culture.
