Barbara Rysdale speaking with Bobbie O'Brien
Flying has been a lifetime passion for Barbara Rysdale. She started piloting her father’s plane when she was 15. She worked with the Navy after the attack on Pearl Harbor, developing long range navigation. For this Florida story, Rysdale spoke with WUSF’s Bobbie O’Brien about the beginning and the end of her flying career.
