Dan Forsythe is my brother and Rod Houston is my Brother in law. It was so nice to hear them on the radio, recanting a few stories I haven't heard in awhile. When they mentioned the St Pete Pride Parade, it takes me back to Chicago and the Pride parade they have there, and how fun it all is, the issues of the day, and of having a great time with many different types of folks that are open minded and friendly. I used to live in Sydney, Australia and when the boys visited me there, unfortunately it was after the big parade they have there. It's the largest one in the Southern hemisphere. It's great to have attended three different Pride parades/festivities in three very different cities all over the world. If you ever get the chance to attend one anywhere, I suggest you do, because it will not only open your mind, it will touch your heart with its mixture of very important issues being brought to light and colorful and ebullient characters making the day worthwhile. I want to bring my two kids in the years to come once they are past the 'running under the wheels' stage!
