A Veterans Day Series: Women Veterans
Over 250,000 female soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen have served in Iraq, Afghanistan and supporting operations. Together they comprise the largest group of female veterans in this nation's history. This Veterans Day, NPR highlights their military service and explores the triumphs and troubles of the women who love and served their country with a two-part series airing on Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
