With more research showing both the short and long-term health repercussions of concussions, USF is getting involved with its new “Concussion Center.” University Beat on WUSF-TV shows us some of the projects the Center is focusing on and introduces us to a high school athlete who stands to benefit from that work.
Also: From youth leagues all the way up to the professional level, the dangers of sports-related concussions are becoming better recognized. University Beat on WUSF 89.7 FM takes us to the new USF Concussion Center, where medical experts are looking at the latest advances in the treatment and research of athletic head trauma.
