International Medicine (rebroadcast) / Summer Camp Preview Part 2
USF's College of Medicine is moving beyond the borders of Florida - and even the United States - with its Office of International Affairs. This week's University Beat on WUSF-TV shows you how the school is trying to improve global health by teaching medical professionals and students around the world the latest clinical practices. Also: Even though it’s March, summer—and summer camp—isn’t that far away. In the second of a special two part preview, this week’s University Beat on WUSF 89.7 FM takes you to Lakeland, where USF Polytechnic will host its Central Florida Gifted and Talented Institute.
The public is invited to fifth grade and middle school academic competitions to be held Tuesday, March 23 and Thursday, March 25. All rounds of these academic competitions, known as E-Team Tournaments because many of the questions are economics related, are free to attend.
Don your best Rays gear and head over to the Tampa Bay History Center as they team up with the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday, March 27th to celebrate the History Center’s traveling exhibit Shades of Greatness: Art Inspired by Negro Leagues Baseball.
