Preparations begin for last Discovery space shuttle launch

Preparations are underway for a space shuttle launch in Florida. It can be the next to previous to fly. There are only two more entries on the NASA space shuttle launch schedule. One will be taking place on Wednesday, Nov. 3 in Cape Canaveral as the space shuttle Discovery will blast into orbit.

Award-winning choreographer Twyla Tharp shared her advice on succeeding in arts and business with USF Dance students and members of USF Women in Leadership and Philanthropy at the latter group's recent Fall Symposium. University Beat on WUSF TV takes you to the event and shows you how both groups learned from the living legend.
Also: In an almost fifty year career in dance, Twyla Tharp has won dozens of awards and worked with hundreds of performers, ranging from Baryshnikov to Billy Joel. Middle School Art Show

The artwork of Polk middle school students will be featured at the Polk Museum of Art from November 20 to January 2, 2011. The title of the show is “Art Out Loud: Middle Schools Exhibition.” The Polk Museum of Art is located at 800 East Palmetto St., Lakeland.
