This week’s University Beat on WUSF-TV has more on the decision and how it came about. Also: While USF doesn’t have a film school, it has about one hundred students in the “University Film and Video Association.” That group is now raising money so some of them can go to the Sundance Film Festival next month. Listening to Our Past (Rebroadcast)
Meet a man who joined the circus as a teen, another who was part of Tampa’s first day of integrated dining in the 1960s, and a woman whose family went to meetings and picnics in Ybor City supporting the Spanish Republic during that country’s civil war. This week on Florida Matters, we’ll visit with the past through excerpts of oral histories from the Bay area. And we’ll talk about why these recordings -- and ones that you can make with your family -- matter.
