Since 1976 the Ringers and Singers Handbell Choir from First United Methodist Church in Lakeland, Florida, has been making joyous music throughout the world. The group is made up of 23 young people and adults from the church's music program. The choir rings two six-octave sets of English handbells.
Throughout a busy musical career that got underway in the early '50s, Dick Hyman has functioned as pianist, organist, arranger, music director and composer. His versatility in all of these areas has resulted in film scores, orchestral compositions, concert appearances and over 100 albums.
The Bethune-Cookman University Concert Chorale boasts a membership of over one hundred, and has grown into one of America's top singing aggregations. The Chorale has traveled more than a half million miles throughout the United States and five foreign countries.
