Start of the 5 mile race at 2009's Miles for Moffitt on USF's Tampa campus Miles for Moffitt
The fifth annual “Miles for Moffitt” is coming up May 15th at USF’s Tampa campus, with Moffitt Cancer Center research once again being the recipient of all proceeds raised by the event. This week’s University Beat on WUSF-TV/DT has a preview of “Miles for Moffitt,” which includes five different races and a ceremony to honor cancer survivors.
Also: “Five years, five races, one cause” is the motto of this year’s “Miles for Moffitt,” and that cause is helping Moffitt Cancer Center researchers find a cure for cancer. This week’s University Beat on WUSF 89.7 FM has a preview.
