Earth Day Art and Nature Festival at Nature's Classroom

Nature’s Classroom is celebrating Earth day by hosting an open house event on Saturday, April 24th and Sunday, April 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event will feature nature art displays and sales, live music, children’s activities, live animal handling, food, and a variety of environmentally focused exhibits. Visitors may tour the new animal compound and native plant garden.

From the design house "Whitevinyl" in Britain, comes a music box called Solar Beat. It shows the orbits of the eight planets plus Pluto and the asteroid called Ceres; that's ten heavenly bodies circling the sun.

HARRISON TO HOST VISUAL ARTS RECEPTION, APR. 23

The Harrison Visual Arts Department will host "Idealistic Notions: a group exhibition of Florida artists," the first annual professional visual arts exhibit, from Friday, Apr. 23 to Sunday, May 23, 2010. The opening reception will take place on Friday, Apr. 23 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the new Harrison Gallery.
