Come discover the hidden world of the estuary through some of the smallest critters that live in Tampa Bay. Visit our classroom to examine live samples of plankton from Tampa Bay. Plankton describes a diverse group of organisms suspended in all bodies of water including estuaries and oceans.

Beyond Pinellas - Winter Animals

Seasonal changes affect wildlife as well as plants and people. As summer turns to fall, and fall to winter, animals must adapt to changing food and weather patterns. Join us for an interesting look at the ways animals around the world survive during harsh winter months. Admission: Free. Pre-registration is required. All ages welcome.

Clearwater Audubon Birdwalk

If you have ever visited Brooker Creek Preserve you know what a special place it is. Not only can you see migratory and resident songbirds and raptors but many other kinds of creatures and plants as well. There are 3 miles of boardwalks and some sand trails so be prepared to take a good walk. Be sure to bring your binoculars and field guides if you have them!

The Great Weedon Bird Quest

Come and join us on a quest to find Weedon Island Preserve birds! Learn the identifying marks and behaviors of our feathered year-round residents and seasonal visitors while helping us compile an annual checklist of the Preserve’s birds. These hikes are designed to take advantage of all levels of birding experience. Binoculars and bird guides are available.
