Florida Legislature: Mid-Session Update
The big stories in this year’s annual session of the Florida Legislature have not turned out to be the ones most observers expected. Lawmakers have passed major education changes and signed a gaming deal with the Seminole Tribe. But the biggest job is still in the works: finishing the state’s budget by negotiating the differences in the House and Senate versions. We’ll find out how those discussions are going -- and what else lawmakers’ will get done in the final weeks.
The Polk Museum of Art will display the best artwork of students in grades three, four and five.
