When it comes to shipping companies, there are a lot of moving parts, not all necessarily owned by the same organization. So when the nearly 100 year old Lykes Brothers Steamship Company tried to file for bankruptcy in 1995, it was a complex process. Attorney Harley Riedel II represented Lykes and U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Alexander Paskay presided over the case in Tampa Federal Court. Today on Florida Stories, they talk about the case and its far-reaching impact on the reorganization of international companies.
