Sarasota Italian Cultural Events is sponsoring Bacchanale Romano,dining like the ancient Romans on a four course feast of food and wine, prepared by Chef Phil Mancini of Michael's on East. Richard Storm, Master of Ceremonies will lecture while we are dining on the mythological gods of ancient Rome. The banquet takes place on Monday, February 15th at 11:30AM at Michael's on East.

Stimulus and Jobs
Last February, Congress passed a $787 billion bill designed to create (and save) jobs and jump-start the economy. Nearly a year later -- with President Obama making jobs the centerpiece of his State of the Union and his visit to Tampa -- we look at what the federal stimulus has done in the Bay area. And we’ll examine the jobs that have been created with the influx of money -- and how many more might be coming our way in the form of construction on a high-speed rail link between Tampa and Orlando.
The public is invited to choral music concerts by middle and high school students on February 18 and 19 at Lakeland’s Tenoroc High. The concerts are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on both Thursday, February 18 and Friday, February 19. There is no cost to attend. Tenoroc High is located at 4905 Saddle Creek Road, Lakeland.
