2009 USF Dance Marathon Dance Marathon / Summer Camps Preview Part 1
Students at USF are getting ready to ‘shake their miracle maker’ at this year’s Dance Marathon, which once again benefits All Children’s Hospital. This week’s University Beat on WUSF-TV/DT has a preview of the event, which starts at noon March 27th and won’t end until the last dance 17 hours later.
Also: With all this cold weather lately, it’s hard to believe it’s right around the corner: summer camp! In the first of a special two-part preview, this week’s University Beat on WUSF 89.7 FM looks at an Oceanography Camp at USF Saint Petersburg that gets girls more interested in a career in science.

10th Annual Art At The Ranch Fine Arts Festival

ArtCenter Manatee and LWR Communities invite you to join us for the 10th Annual Art at the Ranch Festival on Main Street in Lakewood Ranch. With plenty of free parking, trolley transportation, great food and upscale shopping, Main Street Lakewood Ranch is the perfect backdrop for the tenth anniversary of one of the premier art festivals on Florida’s west coast.

USF Talk of the Arts with Bill T. Jones

"Participating in the World of Ideas: The How and Why in Making and Doing". Acclaimed director and choreographer Bill T. Jones will speak on the creative process of the multidisciplinary work, Serenade/The Proposition, and the way in which he strives to poeticize activism.

Middle School Band Concerts

The public is invited to middle school band concerts on March 18, 19 and 20 at Winter Haven High. The concerts are from 3:30 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on both Thursday, March 18 and Friday, March 19. The concerts are from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 20. There is no cost to attend. Winter Haven High is located at 600 Sixth Street SE.
