iTunes Instructions

Want to listen to a WUSF podcast in iTunes? Here's how:

  1. In your browser, right click on a podcast's orange podcast icon and click "Copy Link Location."
  2. Minimize your browser and open iTunes.
  3. Choose "podcasts" from the Library drop-down menu (upper left of screen)
  4. Select "File/Subscribe to Podcast. A small window will pop up.
  5. Paste the URL or page address you copied into the box and click OK.
  6. Off to the left, you will see a list of podcasts. By default, only the first item will download. right-click the podcast in the list and click on "download all" or other options.
  7. You may configure iTunes to automatically download any new podcasts in a given category upon launch of iTunes.

Off the Base

Off The Base Off the Base, is a multi-media project designed to build a bridge and give the civilian community a better understanding of military life for service members and their families. Of special interest are military families dealing with multiple deployments to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Those deployments weigh equally heavy on the family at home as the service member in harm’s way. There are stories of success and stress that need to be told. We’ll hear from families preparing for deployment, currently living through a deployment and about the adjustments after a service member returns home. (Weekly)

Off the Base

StoryCorps-Tampa Bay is local stories recently collected in St. Petersburg as part of the nationwide StoryCorps project. StoryCorps is an independent nonprofit whose mission is to provide people of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share, and preserve the stories of our lives. Since 2003, StoryCorps has collected and archived more than 45,000 interviews with nearly 90,000 participants. Each conversation is recorded on a free CD to share, and is preserved at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress. StoryCorps is one of the largest oral history projects of its kind, and millions listen to their weekly broadcasts on NPR’s Morning Edition. (Weekly)
