Poetry Soiree

Special Poetry Soirée. Sunday, February 10 at 2:00 pm, Bookstore1Sarasota, 1359 Main Street. This month we have three very special poets: William Heyen, author of numerous poetry collections—including three he published in 2012: Football Corporations, Hiroshima Suite, and Straight's Suite for Craig Cotter & Frank O'Hara; Phil Brady, author of three books of poems and a memoir, whose latest book is By Heart: Reflections of a Rust Belt which was the winner of the ForeWord Magazine Gold Medal in 2009; and local resident Ellen Asmussen, who has published poetry, biographies, non-fiction, and for 20 years was literary critic at the liberal Danish newspaper, Information.
