Teacher Poetry Slam, Saturday, May 4 at 3:00 pm. Florida Studio Theatre, Court Cabaret. Tickets $12. This event is part of PoetryLife weekend, May 3-4, which honors students, educators and the creative community in which we live. Now it’s the teachers’ turn to show off their poetry chops. Hear local teachers read their own poetry in a casual atmosphere. PoetryLife weekend is sponsored by Bookstore1Sarasota, Florida Studio Theatre, Gulf Coast Community Foundation and The Sarasota Reading Council.
