Stronger Than I Knew
Summing up the greatest struggle of your life and how you overcame it may not be the usual subject matter for a five minute YouTube video, but USF students are doing just that—all with the hope of helping out classmates who might be facing a similar issue. It’s part of the USF Counseling Center’s “Stronger Than I Knew” program, which we introduce you to on University Beat on WUSF TV.

Thank you for the comment!

I just wanted to show my appreciation for the comment that you left regarding my involvement in the project! It is amazing and so humbling to hear stories about my father (and how wonderful of a physician he was). He without a doubt made a huge impact on our community, and I really hope to do the same by any means possible! The past 7 years have been extremely difficult and disheartening. Unfortunately, I only included a small part of my story within the project, and there was a much more complex situation behind what was expressed. Either way, I am so proud to be able to say that Dr. Gerald and Trudi were my parents, and that I was blessed to have them in my life! Thank you for your feedback. It is so great to hear such wonderful things, and it keeps me motivated to carry on and succeed in my future! Thank you!

Best Wishes,

Meghan, thank you for sharing your story. My mother, sister and I were patients of your father for many years. It's important for you to know that we admired you and your father for your courage and grace in light of your mother's death ... after your father's death you remained in our prayers. I was delighted to hear your story in your voice on the radio this morning. We were able over the years to get tiny updates on you from former employees of your father's ... but to hear you and now see you on YouTube, I am awed and inspired by your story. Thank you for sharing it with the world. You have honored your parents and are obviously on your way to making a positive difference in the world!
