1Apple Grocery

A pair of USF students has opened 1Apple Grocery, a new store in Plant City that targets members of the Florida WIC program, which provides financial aid to low-income women, infants and children so that they can buy nutritious food. We’ll take you there on University Beat on WUSF TV.

Dr. Charles Lockwood

Dr. Charles Lockwood took the reins at USF Health and the Morsani College of Medicine this past May, and WUSF’s Mark Schreiner recently sat down with him for a revealing discussion. On this week’s University Beat on WUSF 89.7, we’ll hear from Lockwood about the changes in the healthcare industry, how he wants to help students handle the growing cost of med school, and the future direction of USF Health.
