Radio Reading Service on WUSF
Turning Sight Into Sound Since 1978
The WUSF Radio Reading Service broadcasts local and national newspapers, grocery and department store ads, an extensive selection of current magazines and many unique programs for qualified print impaired listeners.
The WUSF Radio Reading Service is available to our listeners 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via a specially tuned radio receiver, provided at no charge to our listeners, or through WUSF-TV.
Recently, the state of Florida eliminated all funding for reading services for the blind. WUSF is committed to continuing this service through a partnership with the Minnesota Radio Talking Book, State Service for the Blind. As a result, our program schedule has changed.
