Irene Maher

Irene Maher is well known in Tampa as a medical reporter for WFLA-TV News Channel 8, and she's an award-winning broadcast journalist. Irene is the recipient of numerous awards for reporting, from such groups as the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, the Society for Professional Journalists. She earned an Edward R. Murrow award for her work on the anchor desk In her spare time, Irene enjoys cooking (especially baking) traveling and reading. Irene resides in Tampa with her husband and Springer spaniel.
