USF Symphony Orchestra in Concert

The USF Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of William Wiedrich, opens this program with the fiery, yet charming, Festival Overture of Dmitri Shostakovich. Andrew Karr of the Florida Orchestra and Professor of Horn at USF will be featured in Richard Strauss's stunning Horn Concerto No. 2. The second half will feature Arthur Honegger's delicate and lovely Pastorale D'ete and Paul Hindemith's masterful Symphony: Mathis der Maler.
