Vienna Boys Choir
General Event Information
As part of its 2013 Great Performers series, Sarasota Concert Association presents the celebrated Vienna Boys Choir at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on February 12, 2013, 8:00 p.m. Since 1498, the angelic voices of the Vienna Boys Choir have been charming and moving audiences with their ringing sound of timeless purity—the sound of a great choral tradition passed down through the ages. Many renowned musicians have emerged from its ranks and its first-class training continues to produce many of today's highly qualified vocalists, violinists and pianists.

Presenting Organization
The Sarasota Concert Association (SCA) exists to foster the development of an appreciation for the musical arts by sponsoring professional presentations that are not otherwise available in the community, through a not-for-profit, organized-audience plan. SCA aims to set the fees for all performances as reasonably as possible, in order to make the concerts available to as much of the community as possible. The organization is not designed to make a profit but does intend to be self-supporting. It provides outreach to all members of the regional community by offering a series of free concerts, Munchtime Musicales, held from November through April every year.
