Florida Matters "Funding Innovation" (First aired January 30, 2009)

People and companies are always coming up with new ideas and new innovations. But when you have a great idea and no money to build your business, market that idea, or roll it out commercially, where do you turn? One of the places entrepreneurs cand look is to venture capital — pools of money from investors who don't mind taking more of a chance on companies that have the potential for rapid growth. This week, meet some of the people offering that money, and meet the CEO of a company that's using it.

Guests:

Drew Graham
Drew Graham - managing partner of Ballast Point Ventures

Robin Kovaleski
Robin Kovaleski - executive director of the Florida Venture Forum

Steven Lux
Steven Lux - managing director of Stonehenge Capital Company

Joe Loughry
Joe Loughry - President and CEO of Persystent Technologies
