USF Lakeland will soon be home to the first “crime mapping and analysis” class in the USF system. The class, which will be taught entirely online, will help students, including many active members of law enforcement, get a better idea about how mapping technology can identify high-crime areas. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center on USF’s Tampa campus has received a multi-million dollar grant from the National Cancer Institute to see how effective a drug derived from green tea is in slowing or even stopping the progression of prostate cancer.
