Topic: Crime Mapping

August 5, 2007

USF Lakeland will soon be home to the first “crime mapping and analysis” class in the USF system. The class, which will be taught entirely online, will help students, including many active members of law enforcement, get a better idea about how mapping technology can identify high-crime areas. Such identification methods can assist police and sheriff’s departments in better targeting of their resources to fight crime. Audio icon Listen now

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd talks about how his department and community will benefit from the new crime mapping and analysis class at USF Lakeland.
