IF YOU ANSWERED “YES” TO THESE QUESTIONS, the WUSF Radio Reading Service would like to hear from you.

AFTER SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION, YOU WILL BE CONTACTED REGARDING AN AUDITION AND INTERVIEW. VOLUNTEER READERS CAN SERVE IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

Live Readers read live on-the-air at the following times:
  • 7 - 9 AM Monday through Friday - St. Petersburg Times and Tampa Tribune
  • 8 - 10 AM Saturday - Selections from the St. Petersburg Times and Tampa Tribune
  • 8 - 10 AM or 10 AM - Noon Sunday - Selections from the St. Petersburg Times and Tampa Tribune

Substitute Readers are on call and read live for the Reading Service, when a regularly scheduled Volunteer is unavailable.

Volunteer Readers read pre-recorded material for broadcast later in the day or during the following day. One half-hour or one-hour long opportunities are available, and Volunteers can record more than one program. Recording opportunities are available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM.

 
 
If You Would Like to Become a RRS Volunteer:
 

Complete and submit the Volunteer Application.
1. Save the MS Word document to your computer.
2.
Open Microsoft Word, and open the saved application.
3. Fill it out and save it again.
4. Attach it to an email to: bstager@wusf.org.

If you would prefer, you may call Brad Stager at 813-974-8633 or 1-800-444-4193 to request a hard copy.

You can submit completed applications to Brad Stager either by mail or by email to bstager@wusf.org.
