RESPONSIBILITIES:

The HR Intern will assist in various human resources functions, such as recruitment, payroll, attendance and leave. May also assist in accounting duties.

Project: Intern will create job posting, process appointments, track attendance and leave and verify timesheets.

Transferrable Skill development areas: HR intern will acquire knowledge in human resources and some accounting function. Intern will also learn about USF HR policies and procedures and gain a better understanding of the teamwork involved in the Business and Finance office.

Training and Development opportunities: On the job training, Talent Management training, and Career Services training.

Special qualifications: Interns must be detail-oriented, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, proficient in MS Excel and MS Outlook and have general knowledge of USF

Department/Major/Career Focus: Students in all majors can apply. Experience in administrative support will be an added advantage.

Other requirements of the position: Attire is business casual.

Supervision: The student will be supervised by the Unit HR Coordinator.

Course Credit Options: This internship may qualify for academic course credit (confirm with academic advisor) or with non-academic course credit through Career Services (contact Lynn Chisholm for details).
