Tampa General Hospital is already one of the country’s busiest organ transplant centers. Now, they’re teaming up with USF Health to create a new institute that will handle advanced transplant surgeries and recovery. On University Beat on WUSF 89.7, we’ll sit down with the leader of the program, noted transplant physician, Dr. David Weill, and find out how the program will assist patients and advance research.
