Episode 205: This week on University Beat, the debate over free speech – what should a university do when what a speaker has to say may not be very popular? A USF researcher is helping NASA figure out how to prepare people for life on Mars; and another USF researcher may have found a treatment for MRSA in a rather unlikely place. Our studio guest this week is Chris Haynes, an Education Abroad advisor with USF World. We’ll talk with him about USF students studying overseas and foreign students coming here.

Denise White is a respected broadcast journalist in the Tampa Bay area. She worked as an anchor and reporter for more than 25 years in a number of markets, and most recently at WTVT Fox 13 in Tampa.
She began her broadcast career as a reporter for WQMC-FM radio in Charlottesville, Virginia. Denise also worked at WXEX-TV in Richmond, Virginia and WFTV-TV in Orlando where she was a weekend anchor and reporter. For more than ten years, Denise was a popular morning anchor of 'Today in Florida' in Miami at WSVN, where she later became the 5 p.m. anchor and reporter.
Denise and her husband, Keith, live in Tampa. They have five children, four grandchildren, one cat and a dog.
